I just love fall. The leaves, the crisp, fresh air, the colors, the food, and pumpkins everywhere. We’ve really been enjoying it so far and have had lots of hot cocoa and tea with lit candles in the early mornings and at night.
The boys have been getting spooked by the neighborhood decorations and are mostly intrigued; the Halloween display at our local CVS, however, caused my eldest son to freeze in the middle of the door and break into tears.
Other than that we’ve been outside as much as possible.
One of my favorite days of late is Friday, because it is the only day of the week where no one has school or speech therapy, and we are free to do what we want.
Last week we rode our bike down to Pier 6 and played in the sand with our friends. It was warm and nice and almost empty.
Here’s to the season of everything orange, hot cider and all-you-can-eat cookies. Which pretty much makes it my favorite time of year.
